Man Intentionally Crashes Van into GOP Registration Tent

Police in Jacksonville, FL say a driver intentionally crashed a vehicle through a voter registration tent where GOP volunteers were working on Saturday. The individual, reported to be a white male in his 20, was driving an old brown van. Duval County GOP volunteers reported that the man drove through the tent and made an obscene gesture as he drove off. Police announced they have arrested 27-year-old Gregory Timm for endangering the lives of the volunteers and destroying the tent.

President Trump mentioned this attack on Twitter. He stated, “Law Enforcement has been notified. Be careful, tough guys who you play with!” The Duval County GOP also tweeted updates after the attack. Duval GOP Chairman Dean Black said, “We are outraged by this senseless act of violence toward our great volunteers . . . the Republican Party of Duval County will not be intimidated by these cowards and we will not be silenced.”

While this story was reported on some mainstream news sites, it was mostly on the “back page.” Anyone with intellectual curiosity should wonder whether the coverage provided to the event in Jacksonville would be the same if a Warren, Biden or Bernie tent was destroyed by a man wearing a MAGA hat. Recent history tells us the story would make the front page of every paper and lead the nightly news.
